Handmade in Germany since 1963, the M 88 is a dynamic microphone with a hypercardioid polar pattern, known for its wide frequency response (30–20,000 Hz) and powerful output signal. It is characterized by natural sound without coloration and high feedback resistance.
Ideal for studio and live performances
The M 88 finds application in both studio and stage environments. Thanks to its pronounced bass response and excellent sensitivity, it is a preferred choice for vocals, drums (especially for the bass drum), guitar and bass amplifiers, as well as wind instruments.
Perfect hypercardioid polar pattern
The technical design allows to minimize unwanted noise and signal crosstalk from surrounding sources. This makes it ideal for scenes with many instruments and high-frequency environments.
Exceptional build quality
The microphone features a special Hostaphan® membrane, which provides excellent sensitivity and accuracy. The built-in EMI compensation coil eliminates interference, and the acoustic labyrinth improves sound direction and focus.
