Technology & Benefits
Every Note, Just Right
A custom 40mm Sonos-engineered driver in each ear cup, tuned with GRAMMY and Oscar-winning engineers, delivers deeper bass, finer detail, and zero distortion. Adaptive EQ accounts for fit, glasses, hair, and other acoustic leaks, adjusting the balance on the fly, while the Sonos app offers 3-band or 8-band EQ for personal preference. Lossless audio is available over Bluetooth using Qualcomm aptX with a supported device, or over USB-C.
Noise Cancelled - Except When You Need It
Adaptive ANC uses ten microphones to read your surroundings and filter out unwanted noise in real time, adapting to changes in fit caused by head movement or glasses. But not everything around you is noise: Aware mode blends ambient sound with what you're listening to, with no need to pause or take the headphones off, and voice boost makes speech clearer. Sidetone lets you hear your own voice naturally during calls even with ANC on.
Up to 35 Hours of Listening Time
A 1060 mAh lithium-ion battery provides up to 35 hours of listening with ANC or Aware mode on - and even more with them off. When the battery needs a boost, three minutes of charging gives up to three hours of playback, and a full charge takes up to three hours.
Plays Nice with Your System
One press of the Content Key sends whatever's playing on your speakers - a playlist, movie, vinyl - to Sonos Ace Ultra. Another press sends it back. No other headphones do this. From a compatible Sonos soundbar you can send TV audio straight to your headphones, Dolby Atmos and all, with TrueCinema tuning the sound to your room and dynamic head tracking keeping sound anchored in place when you turn your head. Headphone linking is available in Early Access and requires a compatible Sonos speaker, WiFi, and the Sonos app.
Forget You're Wearing Them
Plush memory foam seals softly around your ears. The headband and ear cups adjust for a precise fit, and hour ten feels as good as minute one. The ear cushions and battery are designed to be swapped out - so your headphones don't have to be when the battery wears down after years of use. The headphones themselves are built with 8% recycled plastic and 14% bio-based plastic, while the carry case is made with 80% recycled plastic.
Designed Around How You Listen
Wear detection pauses the music when you take the headphones off and resumes when you put them back on. The Content Key adjusts volume, swaps audio, and takes calls. The noise control button on the right ear cup switches between ANC and Aware mode, with a long press for your voice assistant. A double tap on the power button on the left cup switches Bluetooth sources — from a movie on your laptop to a call on your phone.
Who Are They For?
Sonos Ace Ultra is designed first and foremost for Sonos system owners - swapping sound between speakers and headphones and the soundbar connection are features you won't find elsewhere. At the same time, they're fully capable travel headphones with strong noise cancellation and long battery life, well suited to flights and daily commuting.

Expert Tip from vsystem.bg
If you already own a Sonos soundbar, be sure to run TrueCinema - it measures how your room sounds and carries that acoustic signature into the headphones, so films sound like they're coming from the speakers rather than from inside your head. Lossless audio over Bluetooth requires an aptX-capable device; on iPhone, use the USB-C cable instead. The included USB-C to 3.5 mm cable is useful both on a plane and with other devices that lack Bluetooth.
FAQ
Do I need a Sonos system to use them?
No - Ace Ultra works as a standard Bluetooth headphone with any device. A Sonos system unlocks the extras: audio swapping, TrueCinema, and app control.
What is the difference from Sonos Ace?
Ace Ultra brings a new driver, up to 2x more effective noise cancellation, ten microphones instead of eight, and Bluetooth 6.0.
What exactly is Early Access?
WiFi headphone linking is still under development. It's opt-in from the app and may change with future updates. It requires a compatible Sonos speaker and a WiFi network.
Can I use them wired?
Yes - the included USB-C to 3.5 mm cable connects to analogue outputs, while the USB-C cable provides a digital connection to a computer or phone with no loss in quality.
Can the battery be replaced?
Yes - the battery and ear cushions are designed as replaceable parts, which significantly extends the headphones' lifespan.
