The Goldring Elite is an ultra high-performance, low-output moving coil cartridge that embodies Goldring's most time-honoured design features. It boasts advanced magnetic circuitry, a neodymium magnet, and an ultra-rigid Pocan® body. At its heart, the Elite incorporates a Gyger S line-contact nude diamond stylus, ensuring maximum groove information retrieval and an outstandingly smooth and extended frequency response. The hand-wound pure silver wire on the Swedish iron armature provides higher definition than standard cartridge constructions.

• Gyger S Stylus Profile: Nude, natural-diamond stylus with a Gyger S profile. This revolutionary line-contact design closely resembles the record cutting head, enabling the Elite to trace the smallest groove details with complete fidelity. The mid-range tonality is accurate and precise, with high-frequency sibilance effectively eliminated.
• Efficient Magnetic Circuit: Utilizes a neodymium (NdFeB) rare-earth magnet, the strongest type commercially available. This design shortens the magnetic circuit while achieving the required field strength in the pole shoe gap. This reduction in overall mass improves trackability and compatibility with a wider range of tonearms.
• Low Mass Pocan® Body: The Elite features a one-piece body made from ultra-rigid, glass-reinforced polyester called Pocan®. This material provides a high strength-to-mass ratio, keeping the overall mass below 6.0 grams. The rigid body ensures all fixed parts are securely held, optimizing sound quality.
• Expert Adjustment: Each Elite cartridge is hand-built and individually adjusted for azimuth and compliance. Proper azimuth setting maintains a stereo sound stage, while correct compliance ensures even frequency response and compatibility with low to medium-mass tonearms.

Gyger S Stylus Profile

The Elite uses a Gyger S line-contact nude diamond stylus, a patented design shaped to resemble the record cutting head. The stylus features a flat frontal area and a triangular trailing section, with contact radii at opposite ends of the front edge. This design allows the Elite to trace the finest groove details with complete fidelity, delivering incredibly accurate mid-range tonality and banishing high-frequency sibilance.

Efficient Magnetic Circuit

The Elite's neodymium magnet allows for a shortened magnetic circuit, reducing the overall mass and improving trackability. This design ensures compatibility with a wider range of tonearms while maintaining the required field strength in the pole shoe gap.

Low Mass Pocan® Body

Constructed from ultra-rigid, glass-reinforced polyester, the Elite's body holds all fixed parts securely in place. The high strength-to-mass ratio of Pocan® keeps the cartridge's mass below 6.0 grams, optimizing sound quality and efficiency.
