The DT 880 PRO combines the advantages of open headphones with those of closed studio headphones. The improved systems of the legendary DT 880 provide a high quality studio headphone with excellent analytical properties, especially for classical music.

The balanced reduction of environmental noise guarantees a perfect spherical sound, while the complete sound spectrum is reproduced in great detail from the lowest sub bass up to the highest frequencies.

The higher frequencies are crystal-clear without being unpleasant and impress with a very smooth sound. The precise balanced mid frequencies are analytical and supportive, without being predominate. The bass is voluminous without being too obtrusive.

The new designed headband fits for all headsizes and grants better wearing comfort, especially during long studio sessions.

Difference compared to the DT 880 Edition

The DT 880 Edition headphones for use at home and the DT 880 PRO studio headphones: soundwise, both models are identical as they feature identically designed acoustic transducers.

There are fundamentally two differences between the models:
Firstly, the Edition models have a somewhat softer headband for enjoying music at home whereas the PRO headset has a slightly firmer fit.
Secondly, the Edition models come equipped with a straight cable whereas the PRO models come with a coiled cable.

Made in Germany

As with all beyerdynamic professional studio headphones, the DT 880 PRO headphones are also handcrafted in Germany. The materials and component parts used are made by hand and can be replaced if necessary.
